yes, I have an M42 SMC 50/1.4 and I love it, no disrespect intended by "old" (or grouping it together with all old lenses) its my weird aussie sense of humor.

I'm waiting to get half a dozen rolls of Provia back from the shop, so it'll be interesting to see if it's as good on film
