Let us see your neighborhood today
Posted By: LaRee, 12-13-2007, 10:52 PM

I snapped this pic when I was out and about today. It was a beautiful day here in San Diego on December 13, 2007. Let us see what is it like where you live this week.

Within 200 meters around the house

This morning after a few days with fog and frost, the sun shined!

All pictures where taken with a K10D and DA* 16-50mm

Wow Bert, it looks mighty cold but SO beautiful! I love the last shot of the line of snow covered trees.

9:30 AM from front porch. Sort of slows down the last minute shopping for this morning. It is supposed to warm up and rain later. South Surrey, BC.

Happy holidays to all.

Where our house is (taken yesterday):

Where our boat is (taken a couple of weeks ago on a warm, foggy December morning):

1) Off the "back porch"

2) Along the sea wall

great shots everyone!!!!i find these snow shots fascinating however, im not sure about all the snow around the houses.... i think i would find it pretty intimidating. i have lived in areas of australia that have been affected badly by storms and floods and for some reason, the site of all that snow surrounding the houses brings back bad memorys in a way.. almost as though you are prisoners to your own home and its hard to get a clear perspective of where you are because everything is covered in snow for miles and miles..

You get acclimatized quickly if you live in a seasonal snow region.

Here are a few photos taken yesterday. Same park located about 20 minutes away from my house. In the background is the Saint Mary's River. It links Lake Superior to Lake Huron. The water is always cold. We were getting a nice fog because of a warm weather front that rolled in. In fact, today, most of that snow is now gone.

Here we go - the warming weather (-1 Celsius) brings melting and dirty dirty snow, then the evening and colder weather comes along. It is why we (or at least me) have snow tires!

This is taken right outside my door - not too scenic I know but it is my neighborhood

Sorry to miss your post.

The place was located in a small alley called Flinders where there are many cafe drinker pretending to be classic. However, there is a zone where all the rubbish bins were kept and graffiti renewed each week on the wall.

A common place for photographers to visit in fact.

I felt the mood was right at the time. The guy was rather appearing hostile, smoking a lot but does add something to the shot.

Thanks to the autofocus
