some hockey pics

shot these last night in an arena with really really shitty light and my 135mm/f2.8 prime. i think this was aa, but maybe aaa? action shots where under exposed by a stop, and pushed 2 when processing the raws.

Nice ... ice hocky shots are damn hard ... i have only seen someone else take decent shots at hockey matches.

You have done well though ... ice causes a hell of a lot of glare ... especially when lighting isn't the best.

Very nice - I have shot a Bantam "AA" game and know the difficulties. I think if you use Photoshop you can select the ice and either bring the exposure or Brightness down while leaving the players alone. The players are tack sharp so a nice job indeed. The ice is diffiult I think I took about 200 shoots the game I did about 10% were worthy

i had a problem with the plexiglass being scuffed enough to affect the usual quick/accurate focus of my lens; so my shooting was probably 8:1 ratio maybe. I got great sky box type shots from the top of the arena, but there's a mesh which was very visible as a pattern in the pics so those were throw aways.
