Lens: Pentax 40mm f/2.8 Limited Camera: k-7 Photo Location: Douglas County, Oregon ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/350s Aperture: F2.8

You are looking at the in-feed system of a Brux industrial chipper. Imported from Sweden at the cost of about $1 million. Used to turn logging slash into fuel for co-generation (heat and electricity) at lumber mills. The mill uses the heat to run their dry kilns and sells the electricity to the local utility.

Seen on the job today, out in the woods with foresters from Roseburg Forest Products. The beast was down today (it ate a branding hammer) and needed some repair. Hoping to get some pics of the machine in action next.

Those are mighty teeth indeed, a would think they are very impressive in action.

I'm sure it's impressive in action but cannot say for sure as have not seen it in action.

Nice shot, could make for a nice back scratcher, on slow speed you mind.
