My son and I were heading from Wenatchee, WA to the Grand Coulee Dam and as we reached the Columbia Plateau, we saw this church sitting out in basically the middle of nowhere. The sky was dark as the devil all day long and looked liked it might start raining cats and dogs at any moment, but nary a drop fell all day. I loved the color of the sky!

Tom, the first thing I found amazing was your statement it didn't rain in Washington while you were traveling. Wonderful shot the mood is great with the darker color, did you take one from a long distance to show the isolation?

I would use the transform tool to straighten up the spire.

This is a beautiful image. The sky and sun-rays are very dramatic and beautiful. I have a photo I took recently of a very similar church sitting out in the middle of nowhere.

I'd just rotate it a bit :-) Nice capture, otherwise.

Unfortunately, I didn't. I had to drive up a one lane road (about 1/4 mile) to get to it, and never thought to take a long distance shot. I was in WA for almost 4 months, and it only rained 2 or 3 days. This area doesn't get much in the summer months.

I did straighten it a bit, but obviously not enough. You should have seen the original, and I was using a double-bubble level! Yikes!

Thanks, Tess.

Yep, didn't rotate it far enough.
