645 A* 120/4 on K5 - amazing sharpness...
Lens: 645 A* 120mm f/4 macro Camera: K-5 ISO: 400 Aperture: F4
Posted By: igor, 11-10-2011, 04:30 PM

Just received this hefty (by 35mm standards) macro lens with an 645-K mount adapter.
Immediately blown away by the lens sharpness and color rendition, easily equals such macro "grands" as Nikon AF-D 200/4.

Most shots taken WIDE OPEN, already VERY sharp.

These images are so sharp they almost make my teeth hurt.....!

My goal someday in the future is to be able to capture images with IQ like yours - you've set the bar for me with that respect.

Thanks for sharing.

Smart move Jesper , I owned a LOT of macro glass and this baby is really among the sharpest lenses I've ever tried.
Thanks much for commenting!

Hey igor

Just got my adapter today. But what focal length do you use at the startup menu in the K-5 ?

Looks like you are going to have fun with the new purchase Igor. These older lenses have a certain feel to them. Nicely done. JIM

Jesper, congrats!
I enter 120mm as the 645 lens is about the same FL on a cropped sensor DSLR as it is on the 645 body.
