Rochers-de-Naye, Switzerland in not so good weather
Lens: DFA645 25/4, FA645 75/2.8 Camera: 645D Photo Location: Switzerland ISO: 100

Hi

Here a few photos from the mountains of last weekend. I decided to go to the mountains in the afternoon and went on top of the Rochers-de-Naye, a mountain overlooking lake Geneva. Unfortunately, until I was there, the sun was gone, hidden by clouds. So, I tried to take a few moody shots instead:

2
645D, DFA645 25/4, f/5, 1/250s, 100iso

3
645D, DFA645 25/4, f/5, 1/640s, 100iso

4
645D, DFA645 25/4, f/9, 1/125s, 100iso

Well, the weather was not as desired, but with a sunny blue sky, I would not have been able to take such moody shots.

The light was a bit low which made it difficult, I used the B&W conversion plugin Silver Efex Pro 2 to boost a bit these photos, especially 3 and 4 to increase contrast and bring out details. I described the way on how to use this plugin for color photos under Silver Efex Pro 2 for color photos | IMPress

As the saying goes, when you get lemons, make lemon pie, oops lemon aide. You have done well, I like them all, moody is attained. Thanks for sharing.Cliff

I love the moodiness you get in bad weather. Its especially stunning from a higher altitude. Lovely images.

Thank you for all the comments. I do have to say that I do really like these photos, not so nice weather can sometimes give some pretty impressive photos.
