The last part of our trip was Edinburgh and seeing some of the surrounding areas.

Royal Mile Edinburgh

Edinburgh Castle

Antonine Wall near Roughcastle (I have another version somewhere where I removed those powerlines but seem to have misplaced it. You get the idea . . . )

Blackness Castle on the River Forth

The end. You can see the entire set here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/spotformel/sets/72157627797457309/

Not to diminish your good work, but one can clearly see that the light looks amazing. Nice work.

Thanks Rupert!
JMR - Thanks! I had some really good light and I have some dismally bad light. But Scotland is so beautiful I was just happy to be there regardless of the light.
Thanks for looking loco!

Mel - late getting to this section/thread, but thanks for sharing! My family and I spent 17 days (and 2,100 miles!) in the UK in August 1988, right before we rotated back to the US. Spent 4 lovely days in and around Edinburgh, and got to see the dress rehearsal for a Military Tatoo. Great, great city. Once again, thanks for sharing all of the series. Brought back some really wonderful memories.

Thanks all. The problem with travling though is that it makes me want to travel more and more. And it's kind of expensive. And there's these pesky family and work obligations . . .

Great series Mel.

Most enjoyable.

My ancestors emigrated from Scotland around 1820. I've always wanted to visit

but haven't had a chance as yet.

Thanks for sharing
