Cat portraits with macro lens
Lens: Panagor 90mm/f2.8 Camera: Pentax K-r Photo Location: my house ISO: 100 Aperture: F11

OK, I know this is a macro lens, but I figured I'd try it out for some cat portraits I'd been wanting to try my hand at. I also have the FA77, and maybe one day I'll try some of these shots with it, but in this case the Panagor actually seemed to work well. One reason is that I could focus closer than with the FA77. The cats are a bit unpredictable and having to maintain a certain distance from them can be difficult. The sharpness is certainly there with the macro as well.

I hope you like this series. Thanks so much for looking.

(A couple of these are X-posted elsewhere.)

And just for fun... I know the focus isn't great here.

All nice and sharp. I like the second and third. How many cats have you?

Many thanks, Rupert! Sorry no squirrels this time. They are very jumpy around here for some reason.
