More Randoms (Shot With Vivitar 85mm 1.4)
Lens: Viv'ee 85mm 1.4 Camera: K5 Photo Location: Washington DC ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/25s Aperture: F4.5
Posted By: joe.penn, 11-27-2011, 06:00 PM

Been shooting with the 50~135 the past few days, thought I would switch it up a little today and shoot some with the Vivitar 85mm 1.4 - advantage is larger aperture and IMO better bokeh. Took a bit of getting used to again as the zoom and the auto focus on the 50~135 kind of spoiled me.

The "running guy" picture is a true testament of what this lens is capable of!!! Untouched in PP and shot at f/2.5 ... (Who says Auto-Focus is better than Manual-Focus )

I guess we can be thankful he at least had his lens hood on the right way.

These are all great, Joe! I need to experiment more with larger apertures in those types of situations. I love the subject isolation.

Yes, just the Vivitar version - cost a little higher than the others but it is the same optically, focus ring and aesthetics are however different...
