hey guys.,. well i went for a walk tonight after dinner to my local creek and i was minding my own buisness, trying to capture ducks, sunsets and boats, etc, as i normally do, when i started taking pics of a boat coming towards me to moor in. as they approached me i could see them smiling and laughing.. i looked up and they started yelling at me.. 'hope you got some shots of the boat, ive always wanted some, hah' . i started to walk over, as i thought this was pretty funny , and being a friendly person, i am always drawn to a new smiling face. they all looked so happy to see me and asked if i would be kind enough to take some pictures for them of their catch.. so naturally a agreed
as i stood there taking photos, it suddenly hit me like a freight train..... this is what photography is all about and these guys are genuinly stoked to have me take pics for them. i cannot decribe the emotions and feelings that i felt during this photo shoot. it has completely changed the way i look at photography and it has completely changed my direction away from my current style. photography is a thing that changes with your life and tonight i honestly feel that this was a huge stepping stone for me to take it to another level, and a level worth exploring..
to top it off, because i agreed to send them some photos in the mail, they where so happy and greatful that they gave me one of their prized snapper. i felt almost honoured, as i know how protective these sort of fishermen get about their catch. and i was also asked to join them next time they go out on the boat, to get some action shots as they are reeling in the fish!!!! its like a photographers dream come true!! im ever so greatful.,, i really am..
im sorry for waffling on but i am honestly so happy with these shots and i really feel these are some of my most powerful shots taken..
