In the Embrace of the Santa Ana
Lens: 35ltd, 15ltd
Posted By: jsherman999, 12-02-2011, 08:30 AM

.

Round two of our holiday travels brought us to SoCal, and the Santa Ana winds touched the coast with a warm embrace in time for our arrival. It was largely participatory visit, not so much observational (read: I didn't get to shoot much ,) but I was able to squeeze a few shots off.

Hope you enjoy!

The Worst is Yet To Come

Warm Storm Approach, La Jolla

At Lake Poway (1,2)

Wonderful series, it is fun to see areas that I have visited and lived near my whole life. The Santa Anna's to great you and possibly an earthquake to send you on your way. That is California, WELCOME.

Great series. I'm heading down to Disney this coming week with my wife's family, so you've given me some inspiration.

Whoa. These are all amazing, as usual, jsherman!

My Fam and Who has the key to salvation are my two very favorites. The light in the "salvation" shot is absolutely stunning and so well captured!

Thanks. I assume you've been before? If you want to have a good view of the parade at the end, stake out a curbside spot early - folks come just for that around Christmas.

One more view of Tomorrow, from the other side:

These are really good. Did you do much post-processing on these or are these out of camera? Amazing photos regardless.

Thanks! Dog, La Jolla Beach, Water Color Family, A Water Request, and Toy Story Boots have no PP, just straight conversion from DNG with a mild sharpening.

My Fam and Witching Hour are just a desaturation. The rest have some PP, like split toning, slight contrast adjust and exposure.
