Dark Night - Bright Welcome
Lens: DA 21/3.2 Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Varner-Hogg Plantation, West Columbia, TX ISO: 3200 Shutter Speed: 1/45s Aperture: F3.2

A night shot of an auxillary building which contains the office and gift shop at the Varner-Hogg Mansion Historical site in West Columbia, TX. I think the simple white siding of the structure combined with the simple Christmas decorations made the place look inviting (especially if you imagined free cold beer served inside on this warm December night).

Quite simple and to the point, I didn't see the free beer sign, that would of been simply marvelous.

excellent

Jer, I think this is a very striking shot, very, very good. A great example of naturalism, but dramatic in it's effect... Love this shot, I'd bet it would look good as a nice print as well.

Thanks buddy. Had there been free beer, I would have been inside shooting out.

I sure appreciate the kind words, Jay. I admire your photography a great deal, so such comments coming from you mean a lot.

Looks very "homey", no beer needed.
