I took a walk through the orchard today, with the 50mm f2.8 macro I'm using today.
These are my 2 favorite pic's

I am finding Macro a lot harder than I was first expecting ... I shake too much .... LOL

Macro, is where you have to be very careful with the backgrounds, as they often constitute an important part of your image. Check this site out to get an idea of what I mean.

I love that first image Stu. I like the second too for form and light. Funny when I read the title to your post I thought it said "arctic" instead of artistic. lol

Hmmm, the first image seems very cold, which is good. I'm not too crazy about the PP'ing, but thats an individual call.

The second one has great form and contrast, great capture in general.
