Pentax 10-17mm fisheye outdoor photos
Posted By: Chako, 12-22-2007, 03:51 PM

This is my second outing with the new lens. Here goes.....

I think I will need to find a better service other then photobucket to store my panoramic photos. The 800 pixel limitation does them no good.

The day was rather foggy with a light rain at times.

3 photos stitched.

3 photos stitched.

2 photos stitched.

Next are single photos taken during the 15 minutes I was out at this location. This lens is rather liberating to use. This has to be one of the more creative and enjoyable lenses to use in my arsenal.

I really like the way the FE lens distorts the image .... I guess it is a novelty lens ... but I can see it having it's uses though ... can get some great effects with them.

The buggers aren't cheap though.

I am starting to get the hang of this lens. You can control the amount of distortion depending on where you put that horizon line. It is a neat lens to play around with.

Here is a photo taken at work with the lens.

Fish eye is fun to use. Seems that winter time is definitely your theme around this time of the year.

The shots where you included the foreground are quite appealing to me as there is a subject to grasp upon.

Now we're having fun! This lens is meant to distort so the best shots will be the 'in your face' type with a subject smack dab in front of the lens. Columns that bend, buildings leaning in the middle, someones nose that looks like a reject from a circus freak show - you're getting the idea, I don't need to remind you.

Enjoy!

You can change your photobucket upload size to as big as 1024 x 768.. you can also upgrade your photobucket to pro for $25 a year and load 5 mb files and have resolutions up to 2240 x 1680.

Upgrade - Upgrade Photobucket
