Great shot Bob, how about some history/info of how and why the engine is in a Clovis driveway? Maybe lawn decorations? Merry Christmas......Cliff

The engine and coal tender was at the city park and they are being moved to the railroad museum. Which is down by the rail road yard, about 10 blocks from the park. The engine is about 105 years old and I think it was in the park for about 50 years.

Thanks for the link Bob. I didn't know they had one. The museum is privately owned and the engine will be located there but, the city will still own the engine.

Nice one! Is the locomotive being restored or just getting a new home? Tom

Eventually it will be restored cosmetically but, for now just getting a new home. I looked it over while shooting it and it's in really bad condition. Looks to me that it would be cheaper to have a whole new one built than try to restore this to running condition.
