After company left today and after several red beverages I got my creative juices amped up and tried to shoot a new pic for the New Year with the DA 55-300mm lens that I don't use that often but being retired in this New Year there are going to be changes.Happy New Year to all.--charliezap

Great job, buddy. I've never tried this with my 55-300, but this cool shot makes me want to.

Hi-Jer
I used a tripod and one of my 2 remote shutter releases that I won on the Forum. The camera was set for a 3sec delay using the remote to minimize shake.--capn zap

Charlie, nice crisp, clear shot. You'll have to take a shot of the other half next time.

It goes to show that you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear.I tried the moon again with my 2x adapter but alas all the imperfections get magnified along with the image. Focusing is very tough for these old eyes since the auto focus doesn't work that well in low light with the adapter.I think that I'll stick to Bugs-Babes and Birds and other subjects that I like.--charliezap

Thanks Heinrich. The IQ on the first pic is a lot better than the last.I guess that I'll use the 2X converter very sparingly.--charliezap
