a Palm Tree Reflection
Lens: 50mm f/2.8 Camera: Kx Photo Location: Palm Springs CA ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/150s Aperture: F2.8
Posted By: Bob Harris, 01-04-2012, 01:50 PM

I took this photo of the reflection of a palm tree in a small pond in our campground. What appears to be snow flurries, is actually pond scum floating over the reflection in the pond, giving the photo a unique appearance.

Not bad- you should make it more of a vertical, I'd say.

thanks Heinrich, it isn't a sharp shot that is for sure, but I liked the effect of the lighting and of course the scum.

Lori, I have a tendency to wander around, so eventually you see or bump into something interesting. I appreciate you taking a look at my "scum" picture, one of the few scum photos on this forum.

I hadn't thought about that Charlie, wish I would of ran it through a couple of filters to experiment a bit. Seems like sometimes I am a dollar short.

Bob - this is a truly cool shot. What a clever way to produce a whole new look to a palm tree. Great job, buddy.
