It's a bit windy over here...
Lens: DA*16-50 Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Sneekermeer, the Netherlands ISO: 1600 Aperture: F5.6

We've are certainly getting more than a normal portion of bad weather over here in the northern parts of the Netherlands. Most of the problems are still manageable but the inshore dikes aren't high or strong enough at some places; we have problems sending the water away to sea so the water levels are rather high inland. There are people being evacuated not that far from where I am living and the strong wind is also causing some problems. As things stand no I don't have to be worried though. But the weather is perfect for somebody with a weather sealed camera and lens! So while I was on the job I had some time to shoot these storm pictures. The light wasn't that great anymore so I had to resort to higher ISO's and I couldn't stop down the lens to the level I normally use.

1. Outdoor advertisement has lost its effectiveness...

2. A quite lively beach scene

3. High but not dry

4. A nature reserve filled with water

#2 has some drama and #3 has a nice look to it. Like the B&W.

Remco, that is some nasty weather you got there and those winds sure don't help much. A good test for your K5, stay indoors for a bit and don't worry, it will blow out of there in a couple of months

Very nice images Remco, especially # 2 and 3 but the weather is really nasty. Hope it won't last too long and that the dikes will be OK.

Thanks! I'm using Silver Efex from Nik for B&W and I am really satisfied with it and the 'tweak ability' of the filters.

Thanks Heinrich! It must be a bit surreal seeing this if you are still aboard on you cruise ship!

Wow - great shots of some forbidding weather. There is a "texture" to turbulent, stormy water that you've captured perfectly, Remco. Great job, my friend.
