Roadrunner Profile Photos
Lens: 50-200mm Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Indio, CA

This young roadrunner visited our campsite and stayed around for about 5 minutes just observing us. I got some up close shots you generally don't see of this wacky, funny, generally reclusive bird. Sorry no coyotes showed up today, maybe tomorrow.

Very nice images Bob, very good color in the last one. I've never seen a live one or a close up shot like this one, thanks for showing us.

Great shots Bob...I've got several around here but have never been able to get a good shot of one. Those are excellent!

Very odd looking birds! Thanks for letting me see one close up, Bob! I have never encountered one before, even when I was out west briefly.

Hey thanks Rupert, this is just a young male that is very curious and I think he feels safe being in a campground environment. You sure don't see many lizards or snakes here, someone is doing their job.

Lori, if I can catch one, I will send it to you. Your cats would love to have their own roadrunner and what a cartoon that would make.

Most times you got to be quick on the draw, I got lucky with this show off. Still haven't' got a shot of one in flight, but eventually I will.
