Great shots showing rich colour and sharp detail. I always wondered what these strange little flies were called.

Its call Hoover fly. Seems a big head fly

Thank you for your compliment. The second shot was composed with a purplish background which was the flower of the plant called "Touch Me Not" cos when you touch the leaves, it retracts. The fruit was just beneath the fly about inches away and hence the purplish colors.
