Posted By: Buddha Jones, 12-27-2007, 11:50 AM

Hello all! I am going to make this a sticky post in hopes that I can get all of you who have submitted pictures to the Pentax Photo Gallery (PPG) and have had them accepted please post a couple of them here and please link back to your gallery so we can see your work. We have so many incredible photogs on this site I am curious to see what Pentax considers your best work.

Thanks!

Hello OrenMC,

Did you use your 1.4x teleconverter in any of those shots of your birds? I was looking at the Sigma 300mm f/2.8. I notice the Pentax version doesn't have hypersonic autofocus. What do you think about the speed of the autofocus on that lens?

Hi timo4352,

I remember that Kingfisher and I voted for it in the gallery. I hope to get that close to one like that. I remember staring at it and noted it has great detail. Your lens is sharp enough and I thought it was a 400mm lens, is that correct?
Thanks for the vote. Shot with the 55-300 kit lens.

Nice Birds Tim, where did you find them? (I'm in Ohio too)

Tamia, Beautiful Maple leaf, and great shot of the dreaded mayfly!

Jimbo, Nice cascades shot, great vantage, 10 more to 200, that's impressive, congratulations!.

I'm pretty excited on this one, it was my favorite image from Yellowstone and it was accepted into the Premier Collection. Thanks to all who voted.

We're in northeast Ohio, Mentor. Mentor Marsh is something like 600 acres - lots of bird activity and all a stones throw away. Area parks, Mentor Lagoons, the Grand river and Lake Erie with Headlands Beach are all good places too. I'm very lucky to have it all so close to me.

Thanks Jimbo, You are the landscape master and know I got lucky with the light, about a minute later the mist was burned away by the sun.

I love those right placed right time shots though it is kind of like fishing. The more your hook is in the water the more fish you catch. Beautiful image. JIM

Jim and Tom, fabulous photos. I missed yours, Jim, in the voting, but would have given a YES on it as I did yours, Tom. They're both favorites. Congratulations!
