Posted By: Buddha Jones, 12-27-2007, 11:50 AM

Hello all! I am going to make this a sticky post in hopes that I can get all of you who have submitted pictures to the Pentax Photo Gallery (PPG) and have had them accepted please post a couple of them here and please link back to your gallery so we can see your work. We have so many incredible photogs on this site I am curious to see what Pentax considers your best work.

Thanks!

All the color shots are superb +. Preferably #2 insect.
#1 reminds me of the old movie "Dr. Strangelove". do you
remember, with the bomb. Freddy

Enoske, what a fabulous sets of pictures, I voted yes for your B&W just a day or two ago....please don't say you don't have images to submit, as these are the types of images that keeps me to still go out there and vote - I am rather disappointing with PPG lately (well! got two rejected lately, so may be the standards aren't that bad , but some images in the "newly accepted" leaves me scratching my head, but many are still fabulous)....just go out there and shoot some more

Eric some really nice shots you have gotten in. Just go shoot more like those and you'll have some to upload. Never stop shooting. Love the flies shots.

I got this one in today.

I don't see some of those that have been added recently getting in either. Some of them are out of focus, some have no focus point. Guess those that are voting just vote cause they....um, I don't know what they're thinking and how they vote on them. I look for clarity (in focus) and focus point, and composition.

Poised and beautiful shot. Getting a butterfly in that position is a rare thing.
Wonderful color, Photolady. Freddy

Just wanted to quote this, as I think it's the sort of image that makes me look at it time and time again.
The focus, light and slightly grainy feel are spot on.
I didn't see this when voting, but I would have definitely clicked on the green arrow, for sure.
Thank you for those kind words mickey.

I am a bit nervous to post these as I think withy all the head scratching lately..there might be some over this.
I love it and it made flickr explore when I posted it but one never knows about others.

I also got this one in.....there is no saturation boost here. It is the actual colour of the flower...again with all the head scratching of late who knows what people think:

I saw that one. I don't believe it is a Tiger Swallowtail but a Giant Swallowtail.

Trader, I didn't think that's what it was when trying to identify before uploading to PPG but I didn't see the stripes lacking on mine that are on the body of the Eastern Tiger version. I see them now. And I believe you're right, it's a Giant Swallowtail. Another thing that threw me was the size of mine. It doesn't now nor did it when I took the shot, 4 inches across.
