Posted By: Buddha Jones, 12-27-2007, 11:50 AM

Hello all! I am going to make this a sticky post in hopes that I can get all of you who have submitted pictures to the Pentax Photo Gallery (PPG) and have had them accepted please post a couple of them here and please link back to your gallery so we can see your work. We have so many incredible photogs on this site I am curious to see what Pentax considers your best work.

Thanks!

Steve, Hendrik, Yeatzee. All great shots . The little boy b&W looks like it
has a meaning behind it. Makes you think. The bug shot is excellent.

Dead Wolf. I guess they like those hot colors. I've been trying more shots with hot colors to see if they bite. Freddy

Sedberry, look up the page a bit and you'll see Hendrick has a link to
Pentax Photo Gallery. Click on that and you should be able to figure it out.
It's a lot of fun. Freddy

On the PPG home page, click "Site Tools"/"Contact Us" and request admission as a submitter. That will lead to a few e-mail exchanges with eventual access to the photo-submission and voting screens.

Ah, thanks. I couldn't find a sign-up link anywhere so I thought it might be one of those secret handshake things

Congratulations! One is great, Two is extraordinary!

Out of curiosity, how were you notified of your Premier status?

Steve
Now I am watching the PC to see how it works, I got one in on the 24th of July, number 225 at the time, so there have been 26 entered since then. There was no real notification, it was just like when your photo suddenly says "approved in gallery", these say "approved in collection" but go to the end of the list. I had several waiting photos at the time, so it could have been added to the collection a few days before I knew it necause I wasn't looking at the end of the list.

Once in the PC do they stay, or rotate out? It just seems like a pretty small number in the PC.

couple more macros made it in

asian beetle

5 image focus stack of a cicada (I did an HDR version that I like more, but it stripped the EXIF)

underside of a spider

and some other stuff:

For veterans day at Cantigny, they set up a ton of luminaries and had some vets marching around the perimeter. I used a 10 sec shutter to get the luminaries and set off an off camera strobe at just the right time to get the soldier so that there weren't any luminaries ghosting through him. Tough shot.

this ones a paper lantern turned sideways for a more interesting angle
