Posted By: Buddha Jones, 12-27-2007, 11:50 AM

Hello all! I am going to make this a sticky post in hopes that I can get all of you who have submitted pictures to the Pentax Photo Gallery (PPG) and have had them accepted please post a couple of them here and please link back to your gallery so we can see your work. We have so many incredible photogs on this site I am curious to see what Pentax considers your best work.

Thanks!

I got another one in. There are a few declined ones I would have liked to have gotten in instead, but oh well.

Tom, that was the most beautiful dragonfly shot i've ever seen. Utterly sharp, vibrant, and nice bokeh.

Puts mine to shame, but this one just got accepted as well.

There are some beautiful photographs in this thread!

I just had another image accepted a few days ago - that brings my gallery collectionm up to 37.

It would be nice to think that the gallery will continue after Ricoh takes over - did someone say that submissions are closed until October?

Norm.

I just checked it out and can verify:
"Thank you for submitting your wonderful images to the PENTAX Photo Gallery. Due to your time and efforts, the Photo Gallery has become more of a success than we anticipated. In an effort to improve the Gallery we will freeze image uploads while we build a new version of this site that will provide a better user experience to our artists. You may delete your images or change your profile, however you won't be able to load new images at this time. The new site is planned to launch in late October. Thank you for your patience."

I've only got one in the hopper to wait on.

Mike, thanks but yours is beautiful too, I don't think I've ever seen one like that. I was pleased with that shot, took it with a manual focus Promaster 100/3.5 "macro" that I picked up on Craig's List a couple of weeks ago. I drove to Dayton (a little over an hour away) and met the seller, bought it and then went to the Air Force Museum. I took a few shots with it there that came out terrible, I thought I'd made a huge mistake. But I started using it for macro/closeups and realized that I just needed to get to know it. I got this shot just two days later.

To many submittals crashed the website. They are building a new one. This is the best marketing for Pentax, they realize the can invest a bit more to get more rewards in the long run.
