Pentax Photo Gallery (PPG) entries
Posted By: Buddha Jones, 12-27-2007, 11:50 AM

Hello all! I am going to make this a sticky post in hopes that I can get all of you who have submitted pictures to the Pentax Photo Gallery (PPG) and have had them accepted please post a couple of them here and please link back to your gallery so we can see your work. We have so many incredible photogs on this site I am curious to see what Pentax considers your best work.

Thanks!

The beauty of the PPG. One person's no is another's yes. For what it's worth I voted yes on the 3rd one but what do I know there's photos in the Premier collection that I voted no on.
Absolutely right. It would be boring if we all liked the same things.

You are submitting photos that you would not vote for? Heavens, why would you do that? I'm puzzled...

That is figuratively speaking!, but when I see what other submit, I feel a winner. There is one thing, the Gallery ask that you send just one photo of one subject and I find up to five variations of the same thing. My point is that the gallery is being used as a damping place in a way.

Is anyone else caught in a weird voting limbo right now? I've had a bunch of stuff in since Oct 24 and no decisions have been made on any of them. That's slower than the slowest I saw in the old PPG.

Thanks! I'm not much of a indoor shooter and used a gorilla pod and a 15 sec. exposure to get this shot. And about choosing which photo to submit. I don't look at what others might be able to get passed the judging and only submit photo's I would be comfortable selling. I was contacted this week by a small magazine that wanted to include four of my photo's in their next issue. I provided them with two sets of photo's to choose from and gave them a link to my small PPG-gallery since it is my only real online podium to present my photography. I warned them that the older photo's didn't look that sharp because of the recent changes in the minimal size photo's allowed though. I don't like it when people submit multiple photo's of the same scene in order to have a better chance of getting one trough. It isn't a contest of who get's the most photo's in the gallery. At least it shouldn't be! And V5planet I don't notice it takes longer to get photo's accepted. Sometimes it takes longer to get the necessary votes...

Cheers,

Remco

Five photos per week

I have had problems with uploading photos these last three weeks (since the website is up). Whenever I have the change to click on UPLOAD, and I upload one photo, the next time I want to upload, I get the message that I already reached my limit of five per week. So, I can only upload one photo per week. Last week, I used another computer and I got in two more. What is happening?

How long does it take to get rejected or accepted? I've been waiting nearly 3 weeks now.

It took at least that long to get these 2 accepted. Still 1 more pending since nearly 4 weeks.

I remember voting for the security guys photo. Liked how the where above the world beneath them like they where in control. Good composition.
