Posted By: Buddha Jones, 12-27-2007, 11:50 AM

Hello all! I am going to make this a sticky post in hopes that I can get all of you who have submitted pictures to the Pentax Photo Gallery (PPG) and have had them accepted please post a couple of them here and please link back to your gallery so we can see your work. We have so many incredible photogs on this site I am curious to see what Pentax considers your best work.

Thanks!

Thanks, but that is not a Macro shot. I shot that with the Pentax DA 50-200mm @200mm, I was just standing close to it when I took the photo and cropped it to this size using PSE and the use of "crop to photo size" option in that program.

Ahh, even better - clever macro substitute. That's very clever, and a great capture to be able to get to the final result.

That lens is very sharp even at 200mm. I am playing in the Single in September challenge and this is only one of 22 shots I've taken with this lens. So far, it's lived up to its potential.

Yeah, Ad. Love those three shots. Sure, the cameras are top-notch today. Also, as I noticed with my K30, images are more effectively post processed now, I guess because the basic image quality has improved thru the recent years.
Photolady, like I've always said, that 50-200 is a really fine lens. I have gotten many great "macro" type shots at the long end of that lens. Some people are sceptical about that, but it is true. Love your butterfly shot.

Hey, thanks for the great idea rolls. We have a great zoo in nearby Staten Island, and one in Prospect Park Brooklyn. I also MUST visit the Butterfly House in Bronx, NY.
My new DA35mm 2.4 Pentax on my K30 camera should be perfect for the zoo environment, with all my increased ISO. Keep rollin', guy! Freddy

How could they not accept it, Skid. Just beautiful. Looks like you used some terrific old glass, here. Freddy

Thanks for the kind words Freddy!
The lens was the Pentax 18-135 WR, I'm not sure why it didn't pick that up in the EXIF data. I just updated it manually...
