Pentax Photo Gallery (PPG) entries
Posted By: Buddha Jones, 12-27-2007, 11:50 AM

Hello all! I am going to make this a sticky post in hopes that I can get all of you who have submitted pictures to the Pentax Photo Gallery (PPG) and have had them accepted please post a couple of them here and please link back to your gallery so we can see your work. We have so many incredible photogs on this site I am curious to see what Pentax considers your best work.

Thanks!

I tried to upload some photos which were taken with a K20D, but it says "NOT A PENTAX CAMERA".
You need to contact your contact for when you signed up. We can't help you here.

This usually happens when the exif data of the photo is "altered" or missing because of post processing. Check your workflow in whatever software you are working - you need to save (export, develop etc) a jpg with intact exif data. Check your photo for readable exif informations - or upload it somewhere and reply with a link if you want me to check it for you (or any other forum mate willing to do it).

When I click on properties of the jpeg file I see the exif data. I also uploaded the same photo on flickr and exif seems right.

Yep - I see :/ Exif on Flickr seems OK.
I suggest you to try again on PPG - perhaps it was a momentary glitch. I remember reading on this forum about this kind of error (not a Pentax camera - on PPG) and it was related to some kind of setting (or bug? - I don't remember exactly, sorry) in one of the Lightroom versions.
Interesting is, that after downloading your photo (I know, it is disabled on flickr but there's a workaround ) I get a file without exif (this is probably because of the "workaround") - and uploading it to the PPG I get "Manually edit EXIF data" and I am able to upload it :/ (your photo is deleted from my computer and it was downloaded just for testing).

I have neglected to upload anything since January. So yesterday I started to upload my backlog. I guess we'll see in two months...

The hawk was uploaded in March this year. Before that I hadn't any uploaded since August last year. I've still got some in the queue but they were uploaded in April and one I uploaded yesterday.

My word, what a beautiful photograph of one of my favorite birds. Hawks and Eagles. Thank you very much.

Lovely photograph. Talk about being in the right place at the right time. Now is this a type of Bluejay?

Thank you,

Antonio

Not a type but genuine Blue Jay. They come to my back yard quite frequently.
