Pentax Photo Gallery (PPG) entries
Posted By: Buddha Jones, 12-27-2007, 11:50 AM

Hello all! I am going to make this a sticky post in hopes that I can get all of you who have submitted pictures to the Pentax Photo Gallery (PPG) and have had them accepted please post a couple of them here and please link back to your gallery so we can see your work. We have so many incredible photogs on this site I am curious to see what Pentax considers your best work.

Thanks!

Thanks Sue! Also I voted for your "Native Mynah" I can see in your blog and in redbubble! Did it get through?
Yes it did!! Thank you for voting It was my first. The second was rejected but I half expected it anyway so not too disappointing. I have four more in there now, waiting waiting.

Thanks Georg I was bit fretful for the longest time after I bought my Tamron 70-300, I could not seem to get anything really startling and was starting to blame the lens but this pretty much says its a good one (and that the photographer needs to concentrate on what she's doing!). Couldn't be happier.

yea, I just noticed another of my pics was accepted, this stargazer photo from Mother's Day:

brings my stats up to 28 submitted, 20 rejected, 6 accepted, 2 still pending (approx 4 wks). interestingly, the ones i thought were my best work were very quickly rejected (less than a week) and a couple that were accepted were total surprises. ah well.

regardless, I am thrilled to have even one photo in the PPG, anything more is gravy as far as i am concerned.

Well done, Mike, thats lovely, the lighting is perfect. I'm beginning to see what you mean about gravy after spending some time today looking through the rejects thread...

thx. this is just window light without flash or anything else. my son was holding up a piece of white posterboard as the backdrop which gave the subject a cleaner look.

Thanks - it was a surprise to have this one accepted, I thought it was kind of lacking in contrast myself... It was a challenge juggling focus, zoom, and exposure on a manual-everything lens with a moving target rapidly approaching touchdown.
