Pentax Photo Gallery (PPG) entries
Posted By: Buddha Jones, 12-27-2007, 11:50 AM

Hello all! I am going to make this a sticky post in hopes that I can get all of you who have submitted pictures to the Pentax Photo Gallery (PPG) and have had them accepted please post a couple of them here and please link back to your gallery so we can see your work. We have so many incredible photogs on this site I am curious to see what Pentax considers your best work.

Thanks!

That's quite amazing that things happen so closely. Thank you for the compliments.

6 at the same time is an absolute record for me. I was going crazy with photography since I got my k-7 a few months back. With the K10D I had 16 PPG images over more than two years, and have 18 with the K-7 in a few months ....K-7 makes photography so much fun. I know it has to do a lot with the lenses and my skills and possibly PPG being a bit more lax. But, K-7 is an amazing camera.

Thanks :-)

PP is as follows (surprising little needed): I shot it with a Hoya r72 filter, so i just changed from red to orange (it looked pretty good in red, but once I changed it to orange.. well you can see :-) ) All done in Rawtherappe. I personally think it is my best photo. And now for the sob story, when I was backing up the original raw file, my hard drive died(of all the times to have a crash...), and the raw image was lost forever. Thankfully, I had already uploaded the processed version to my smugmug account, and thus I have a lightly compressed jpg version.

When I composed this image in the camera, this is the final product that I envisioned. For whatever reason, whenever I slow down and take my time on a photo, I get pretty good results. Go figure eh?

I just got my first shot into the PPG! Three were rejected from this batch, and four more are still in limbo.

Thank you to everyone who offered advice when I posted this photo.
