Pentax Photo Gallery (PPG) entries
Posted By: Buddha Jones, 12-27-2007, 11:50 AM

Hello all! I am going to make this a sticky post in hopes that I can get all of you who have submitted pictures to the Pentax Photo Gallery (PPG) and have had them accepted please post a couple of them here and please link back to your gallery so we can see your work. We have so many incredible photogs on this site I am curious to see what Pentax considers your best work.

Thanks!

This one wasn't anywhere near my favorite, but I guess someone liked it:

Ben, what is the subject actually doing, since it's not obvious? Quite the expression...

Regards,
Marc

I've not submitted anything for some time, so it's nice to see that this image made it:

He was taking part in the prayer during the commencement of the 2009 Santa Fe Fiesta celebrations.

I like yours a lot, by the way, though it seems maybe a bit over-sharpened?

I changed it to one size smaller - I am not sure so if the compression or re-sizing of the previous image made the larger image look a bit odd. It seems better now - very strange.

Marc and Ben, excellent photographs.

This one was taken with the F135/2.8, and 8 out of the 9 PPG images taken with this lens are mine. I guess I got a good copy or not too many realize how good this lens is...it is almost as good as the FA43 and FA77.

Marc, you do know that was my favorite image from the trip and one that I requested a print of though in the end I went with one of mine. Well done. JIM

You send them an email asking for the permission to submit photos, then they're voted on and if you're lucky some might get approved.

Fantastic owl shot Sanjeevan, you have gotten some great results with that lens. I particularly like your use as close-focus. This tool is very sharp!

Sanjeevan's owl shot has beautiful details.

Thanks Peter/Sanjeevan for the comments. Peter, I understand and have been there - go back and look at what did and did not make it. That might help.

Jim, you can change your mind...

I'm still curious about why the star trails image over Chimney Rock (submitted at the same time as the Glen Canyon shot above) is still showing Ready for Review, but it's several days past the acceptance of the Glen Canyon shot... time will tell - hopefully that is a good thing!

Love the texture of that rock in the foreground. A great shot.
