Pentax Photo Gallery (PPG) entries
Posted By: Buddha Jones, 12-27-2007, 11:50 AM

Hello all! I am going to make this a sticky post in hopes that I can get all of you who have submitted pictures to the Pentax Photo Gallery (PPG) and have had them accepted please post a couple of them here and please link back to your gallery so we can see your work. We have so many incredible photogs on this site I am curious to see what Pentax considers your best work.

Thanks!

Oren and skid, I swear those pics just came up on my screen for a vote yesterday. Well done. casil403, stunning photos. We are planning to stop at Banff and Jasper on our way to Alaska next summer (if all goes as planned) and you and Jimbo are making us salivate.
Madmikess, slow but sure. Lovely flower.

HDR in PPG???
is it possible other way than in-camera effect? Every time I try to submit HDR it gets rejected straight after upload...

I've submitted many photos to the Pentax Photo Gallery since owning my Pentax with no success. I finally was able to get 3 in!

They have an HDR section in their pull down category list so I'm not sure why they are getting rejected post upload...

I have posted and had accepted a few HDR shots in there without issue...and I have seen many when I am voting. Not sure what is going on there axl.
As a quick aside...I have tried the in camera HDR on the K7 and the simulation in the K200 and I am not fond of either....for me so far, sub par results at best.

Anyone know how many people need to vote yes or no to your photos before being accepted or declined?

Rejected immediately on upload? The only time I have had that happen is if the image file lack EXIF data or has EXIF that indicates a camera other than Pentax. (My scanner is Nikon and I have to explicitly mark the upload as "scanned" AND use a minimal EXIF set that does not have NIKON in the device field.)
