Pentax Photo Gallery (PPG) entries
Posted By: Buddha Jones, 12-27-2007, 11:50 AM

Hello all! I am going to make this a sticky post in hopes that I can get all of you who have submitted pictures to the Pentax Photo Gallery (PPG) and have had them accepted please post a couple of them here and please link back to your gallery so we can see your work. We have so many incredible photogs on this site I am curious to see what Pentax considers your best work.

Thanks!

I think you hadn't seen any rejections since the revamp because you haven't had much that didn't deserve to be in there, Prieni. You consistently post really good stuff, including this set.

I do agree though that PPG seems to have become a lot more relaxed in what they allow in. I tend to vote pretty harshly, myself, and there are several photos of mine that I was shocked to see get in. I may have to prune it back a bit.

Thanks Chris & Mark!

Chris, I usually only submit the ones that I wouldn't be surprised to go through. In the old days the percentage of declines was much higher than the successes. Many shots that I still hold dear were declined. That's fine. And today's rejections hopefully mean that the admission will get a bit more tricky. (Not as tricky as the Elusive Gallery here, though, I hope )

Good work Prieni, though if you want to know elusive - try the Premiere Collection of PPG. 1x.com comes close too...

A couple for me also:

First time I got 2 rejects, both shots taken at China, which one of them I really like it. Felt a little shock though when saw them rejected.

Luckily this shot was accepted as it was my fav & has been doing well in flickr:
appeared in few galleries of others:

Well done Ken. A fine capture indeed.
And one more for me - a conceptual children's portrait:

Thanks mate. Though the photo of the pair was supposed to be as matched as possible, it does make me want to 'spot the differences'.

Thanks to you both. The DA 35/2.4 (used there) has found a place in my 'commonly used' lens list.
