Hello all! I am going to make this a sticky post in hopes that I can get all of you who have submitted pictures to the Pentax Photo Gallery (PPG) and have had them accepted please post a couple of them here and please link back to your gallery so we can see your work. We have so many incredible photogs on this site I am curious to see what Pentax considers your best work.

I just noticed now that approved images in the new gallery no longer have copyright information on the image. What gives?

Here is what I did....only took 5 or 6 days to figure it out.
Logged on - got a password/UserID error. Requested password reset - got it and changed the password.

After fighting the logon...and setting the password two or three times, I wondered if the UserID had changed:
In the old days, the UserID was my email address - Ricoh CHANGED THAT.

I discovered that the UserID is the display name for your gallery. In my case it was <FirstName><Middle Initial><LastName> all concatenated into a single word, no spaces, no punctuation. Now I can get in without issue, I have not uploaded anything and every week or so I look at the "list" for voting. I have found it interesting that the majority of images to be judged have been *ist D, *ist Ds, K10D with a few K20D. I wonder if they are guiding the selection towards what you have listed in your profile. So far, absolutely no K-3 II images. Makes me think that no one is submitting images...but then again I am a bit paranoid and on the other hand - I have five fingers.

Getting set up in the new gallery was relative easy, I just followed instructions. I got 5 images approved, took about a month. Images submitted through the contest showed up in my gallery usually an Thursdays.

When I log in through here: Pentax – Photo Gallery no copyright info shows on any of my images.

When I log in from here: Heinrich Lohmann – Artist Gallery – Pentax copyright info is on all images. Go figure it out. It's a somewhat weird setup, if for instance you want to vote on photos you have to log in through the first link.

I have gotten several K-3II images in. The process seems flawed as everything submitted gets accepted. One was accepted before I logged off the site. I can't find a way to bypass logging in every time I access the site but other than that there have been no problems.

You do not have to log in to view the site.
Just go to the main page and search for yourself. You can then save the link to your gallery in your favorites
