Palawan: Third outing with K5
Camera: K5 Photo Location: Palawan, Phil
Posted By: momo, 01-08-2012, 08:24 PM

My K5 performed excellent under tropical weather: hot, humid (and sometimes got water splashed) during the Island Hoping,.
However, I sometimes experienced with +2 stops over exposure under strong sunlight on object (portrait), and color cast Magenta depends on angle of the lens facing the light source.

Happy New Year!

and Thanks for viewing!

Nice. Pic 1 reminds me of Pipi island, Phuket-Thailand.

Nice set! When did you go to Palawan? I was just there from Dec 27-30th and did some island hopping too. Such a gorgeous location with clear waters, it's like paradise!

Very beautiful photos. I cannot imagine canoeing through those rocky islands. Gorgeous landscape and water images. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, I visited Palawan from 12/13 - 01/05. The tropical storm Sendong really chased me from Puerto Princesa to El Nido . I did not have many days of clear, blue sky and as the matter of fact; I had to shorten the trip sooner that expected.

Did you ever make it over to Coron? I was in the area, staying at Dive Link. That is sad that Sendong messed with you plans, but at least you didn't get affected like those in Mindanao did. I definitely want to go back and visit Puerta Princesa and the underground river. Would you recommend El Nido?

If you are interested, I have some pics up in an album on my Flickr.

No, I could not make it to Coron Bay at all.
Right! there were many people died during the storm. In fact, my friends' parent home was totally destroyed...
I plan t go back there Coron bay next year though.
Yes, I'd highly recommend El Nido. Go with 2 essential tours: A, and D that basically cover most beautiful Islands there. I sure will check out your Flickr, Thanks
