Testing out the new Tamron 18-250mm at the zoo. I found it difficult to hand hold even with the SR on the K10D.

Nice series, I particularly like the one of the rhino. It has great detail and the background really makes it stand out.

Nice series I really like the gator shot the eyes are just eerie ! I have the Tamorn and I too am getting old(er) by the day - at full extension (250mm) I find it difficult to hold steady so at that range I always try and get as fast a shutter speed as I can if I can't find something to lean on.

Thanks everyone. I think all of the shots were at 250mm with this lens and I'm seriously going to investigate a monopod or light weight tripod to carry with it.

Kind of defeats the theory of being able to carry only one lens and traveling light.

Great work on these images. The light on the rino is excellent. Zoo animal photography can be challenging, but I love it! Thanks for sharing these with us.
