The little koala is well placed in the photo - looking so vulnerable in deed.

I got one shot of koala about 1 year ago with DS borrowed from Joele.

It was sitting near a fence in a cafe. So adorable!

Nice work ... not often you get to see them ... usually only in captivity.
I haven't seen any out my way ... I see a lot of 'roos and wallabies ... and the odd echidna ... but that's it.

Sometimes I see wild koala really high up in the trees. With backlighting against aussie sun, all I could capture is shadow ...

Echidna seems to be more commonly seen nowadays

'roos are just far too many. I think Australians are the only people that eat the animals on our own national flag ...

kangaroo is not too bad ... as long as you don't overcook it ... Emu is meant to be nice as well (same principle as cooking 'roo as well).

I haven't had a chance at spotting koalas in the wild yet ... we have had another visit from our local Echidna again on the property ... cool little fella too.

Quite a few Koalas 'in the wild' can often be seen round the Port Stephens area north of Newcastle.
Dogs and cars (they often change trees at night and cross roads frequently) are the biggest threat to their existance.

Thanks for looking people, glad you enjoyed it.
Shots were taken at Currumbin park on the Gold Coast, where we were taking this little bloke.
Second shot is me getting mugged by a couple of locals.
Cheers.
