Greater Tibet
Lens: DA15 and DA70 Camera: K-5 Photo Location: China
Posted By: kevinschoenmakers, 01-12-2012, 11:39 AM

I'm warming to black and white photography lately, and as a part of that I've re-edited my photos from last summer. I was travelling in a region that can roughly be described as 'greater Tibet'. These are four provinces that surround what is now the province 'Tibet' in China, but which are historically and culturally just as Tibetan as Tibet itself.

All photos were taken with a K-5 in combination with either the DA15 or the DA70 (great travel set, that).

Kevin, you really captured some great facial shots and expressions and how the heck did you get the horse to pose for you. I like the b/w and the way it is processed. TFP, Bob

That is a good series Kevin, the conversions to b/w are well done and I like the first two best.

Man - all of these are simply outstanding. Number 5, with the white horse, is a masterpiece. My hat is definitely off to you, Kevin.
