3 months across South America
Posted By: backpacker, 12-28-2007, 12:11 PM

Before starting my new job as owner of a coffee shop based in Legnano (where I live in Italy) I had the chance to travelling extensively across four south american countries for over three months: Argentina, Chile (Easter Island included), Bolivia and Peru.
My Pentax K10D followed me in this such great journey and here is a photo gallery with best shots taken:

Stefano, I've had some time to view your gallery.

There were 3 shots in particular that stood out for me.

The grafitti in Chile: Nice work

Then at the end, with the Cafe/Bar counter as a boat.

What I also found interesting was cacti growing in the rocks with ICE below it - not sure if this was in Chile or Bolivia.

Overall, quite a nice gallery. Was this a managed backpacking tour?

Excellent photos Stefano!
If your coffee is as good as your photos.....

I really liked the Bolivian album.

Thanks for sharing this with us, I had a good time watching them.

Glad to hear you and other visitors enjoyed the photos. The photo of the cactus was taken on the top of an island in the middle of Salar Uyuny desert in Bolivia. The white you see is not ice but ... salt! In fact, the Salar Uyuni is the biggest sal desert in the world!
I planned all the trip by myself. It's quite easy travelling independently in South America. People are nice everywhere and big cities such as Lima apart I found all the places I visit be quite safe.

;-)
