Harbourscapes (!) from northern Norway
Lens: FA 43mm f/1.9 Ltd Camera: Pentax K20d Photo Location: Andenes,Norway ISO: 1000 Shutter Speed: 1/15s Aperture: F2
Posted By: Larsenio, 01-17-2012, 01:50 PM

Hello again.

Three days ago, the lanscape in downtown Andenes looked like this.
Here I tried to capture the wild and cold, blowing snowy winter and at the same time give a little warmth and moody feeling from the lonely and harsh winter.

The different pictures have a bit different exposures and apertures but varies from 1/15-1/5 split seconds and f/2.2-3.2.
ISO from 640-1000.
I don`t like pictures with ISO higher than that on my K20d on colour-pics. (I know it`s possible to archieve good results with higher ISO but I`m not that into it at the moment )

So here goes:

Thanks for the comments guys, appreciate it
Yes it was quite cold, around -5 celsius & 15-20 metres pr second wind.
Not sure what that is in fahrenheit & feet pr.second though

One gotta dress properly in these conditions and I always do, wool from top to toe & a thermal body-covering "suit" (not sure of the correct words here!)

Beautiful photos - they really convey the cold . . . . . . and it does look a bit chilly for a sail.

Wow does that ever look cold!
If capturing cold was your goal then I'd say you nailed these shots beautifully!

Anyways, these are very interesting captures imo.
Very nice to see such interesting places being posted here.

Thanks a lot -once again- for those lovely comments, guys
The technical part of these shots aren't all that, a bit too much noise and shallow dof's with some chromatic aberrations etc. but it warms to see you appreciate them even so!

I'm going to post some other photos from a bit different part of Andenes and in b&w later tonight, (07:25PM here now), if I can get to the mac (when my wife allows me )

Cheers!
