Lovely part of Australia.
Make sure you don't forget Hastings St!
Nice shots, weather's been a little cloudy in SEQ, though - am impressed with the 16-45's colours in "Wrong colours, right photo" and "Queue" - sharp as, too!

Evan, Lucky you being at Noosa for holidays.

The beach shot is my favorite.

The leaf does not have wrong colour there. To me, it is the beautiful rich colour with dew.

This zoom is certainly a performer and enjoy the rest of your holidays

Hastings street is the same as it's ever been - it hasn't changed a bit in the past 10 years if my memories as a 7 year old serve me correctly. There were clouds around the whole 5 days but it wasn't usually overcast - the weather was fantastic.

Thanks James It wasn't really a holiday - it was a trip I won for coming first in SA for a geography competition. There were 16 of us there, 4 from NSW and 2 from each of Vic, Qld, SA, WA, Tassie & the territories. It was essentially to decide who is going to represent Australia at the 2008 geography olympiad in Tunisia. I had a fantastic time though & so did everyone else.

As for the wrong colours... just the leaf in itself was the wrong colour amazing to see such a vivid red on flat black in a leaf.

Wow, Mark. Impressed! Hope you did well over there. I did Maths and Science olympia, joining as a team member before. I remembered the team came 27th hahaha

But the genius in our team came 9th for Maths and an estranged friend getting 3rd for Physics. Funny that Russians and Chinese tend to get all the top spots...

Wish you all the best

I did alright - however, when you're up against students from James Ruse High in Sydney (undoubtedly Australia's highest achieving school) I don't think I stood a chance. Thanks anyway though!!

Nice series indeed SupremeMoFo , like Heinrich I love seeing pictures of place I have not been (yet). Hope to make down under on day. Love the shots of the isolated drops. The beach shots just make me yearn from summer here. Thanks for posting.

These are all great shots. I like the leaf shot in particular. With a predication of anothe 4-7 inches of snow on the way, these warmed me up.

Glad you all like them! The peak temp here in Adelaide today ( a good 2000kms away from Noosa, where these photos were taken) was 42 degrees celsius, or 108 fahrenheit. Even overnight it only dropped to 30 degrees celsius, or 86 fahrenheit. Wish I was back in Noosa - higher humidity but peaks of only low 30s...

Damn it's hot in Adelaide and Perth at the moment ... we haven't had such hot weather here in Sydney this Summer ... only mid-30's really.

Not like 2 years ago ... damn that was a boiling New Years ... we had 3 46 deg C days in a row ... and my A/C packed it in as well.

Nice shots on Noosa ... have been there once ... nice looking place ... very overpriced ... and the place stunk of sewerage from their special "eco toilets" they have there.
