Travel Mono Lake

Most people photographing here waited for the paddle boarders to get out of the way before getting their shots. I figured why not get a picture nobody else wanted.

I agree, it added to the image. Very interesting place, the blue really stands out here, great shot.

I can honestly say I've never seen a picture quite like this one. Where is this lake? Colors and composition are super, in my view.

Jer, this is the famous Mono lake on the eastern side of the High Sierras in California. The "Tufa Towers" you see are made of calcium carbonate. The lake is very shallow and is high in alkaline and saline. It's a popular bird migratory detination due to the high volume of brine shrimp. Go on-line and type in Mono Lake Tufa Towers and you will see some incredible pictures.
