Gorgeous Weather!
Camera: Fuji x10 Photo Location: Texas
Posted By: Rupert, 01-23-2012, 08:53 PM

Another beautiful day here, the lake was as smooth as glass. I tried to catch this birdie on a stump, but spooked him.....got what I could get using the digital zoom setting......

Unfortunately, our large lake is drying up in the prolonged drought........

Since we had some nice high clouds, I went on down the road a little distance to try another round on this old shack...

Can't say I did any better...but not any worse either!

We're having summer in January as well. I'm glad you did the B&W conversion - the composition and subject are made for it. Very nice job.

the b/w shots are really great, if that water keeps going down you will be able to scoop fish instead of fishing for them.

This Old Shack

I absolutely love the scene of the old shack! I can see why you want to return again and again. Great photos, all of them, but the two black and white conversions of the shack and trees are very striking!

Thanks Bob...We are getting a very nice rain tonight...hope it lasts all night! We need all we can get!

Thank you Tess...it really is a great place to go test a new lens or different settings, or different light/clouds. I just happened across it a while back and have enjoyed shooting it a few times.

Thanks George, great to see you too! Been fine! Here is another version using DXO Film Pak-3...they have a 30 day fee full version that is wonderful fun and very useful too......good enough that I ended up buying it.

Best Regards!
