British Museum
Posted By: axl, 12-30-2007, 10:17 AM

This picture is stitch of 5 images taken from balkony at British Museum. Since I don't have any good software, and Photoshop CS's version of photomerge is far from accurate, this involved few hours of moving, distorting and so on and on. But I think it was worth it. What do you think?

I think it came out quite well. I have a P&S photograph from this second floor balcony and alawys thought with those geometric shapes it would make a good pano. I'm not overly fond of the sepia but that is fine here.

I agree the patterns on the roof are very intriguing. I would like to see a more high res version of this , I'll bet it pops.

The color and resolution would 'pop' (metaphorically) off the screen so to speak indicating a great photo a good thing

I know that place... Thats a huge room, looks like you are high up too, must have been quite some work putting that one together but I agree it turned out good.

Well, it too a lot of time and patience to put it together. The glass roof is nice, but it's pain in the back to put it together.

But I like your point of view. Really nice pic. Makes me want to revisit the place, maybe I'll go over the weekend....

I think the effort was well worth it. The amount of work you put into it is much better than any pano application since, as far as I know, they will only stitch images.

Did you try the new version of my atn posted elsewhere.

That roof is amazing indeed.
Would have been hell trying to stitch it together.

The sepia tone works well. Kind of gently reminding how the time has passed but memory would not fade

1; I tried to stitch it with autostitch, don't even ask. I'd rather work manualy for year then use it again...

2; if your frame is that cool black one, then yes, I downloaded it. It's cool and really nice. And works with this shot well... I just don't understand one part there, it wants me to place something in it (like PDF file or something) and I can work out what it's on about. Could you help?

It's probably looking for a logo. If you're familiar with actions just uncheck the 2 actions that load the logo and move it to the right.

Did you read the original thread - I thought I had left instructions there.
Need more help go ahead and email me.

Its not an action its a script and its a commercial one. Its very nice though and it only costs 9 dollars so i didnt really need to think about it long.

It also does resizing and sharpening. can be found here Photoshop
