Today's Desert Macro Photos
Posted By: Adam, 09-16-2006, 04:50 PM

Hi guys,

Today I went out to the Desert Botanical Garden to get some macro pics- I guess the results were better than expected

More pics are in the full gallery at http://www.themotec.com/Ole/WEB_Gallery98, and remember to also check out my photo site at http://www.mosphotos.com. Enjoy!

Taken with my DS2 using the 100mm DFA macro:

Adam, I really like picture #3. The colour is just fabulous. You are pushing me to go out and buy this lens even though I take very little macro shots. Very nicely done!

Adam, yes they are nice and oh so desease-free given they're well cared for.

Anyway, in shooting macro or close-ups one should try to either mention the lense to subject distance or at least shoot to identify the size of the subject as you did with the butterfly.

It would also be nice if there was EXIF info and if there isn't then the poster should indicate it in the post.

I hope that's what this forum is about and not just a "nice catch" n' all.

I guess Photoshop removed the EXIF after batch resizing, but I argee, it would be nice to have.

Since you already know the camera and the lens, however, I can tell you that they were all taken at either F 3.5 , 5.6 or 11, since I shot manually to get the desired DoF.
