lunch walk with DA 50-200
Posted By: craftsmansky, 12-31-2007, 10:14 AM

after posting frosty pics this morning, here are two from my lunchtime walk today.

i just happened to look up at the top of our city hall and saw a falcon sitting on the wrought iron railing. by the time i raised the camera and focused, he was in flight.

just a few feet farther i got this one of a leaf still clinging on...

the 50-200 may not be the best lens in the stable, but pretty versatile for a walk around lens...

Pretty nice for the DA50-200mm
Hmmmm ... I really should have gotten one of these originally.

I agree I have seen some incredible shots with that $200.00 lens - and here are two more. If I did not have that range covered a couple of times , I think I would get it.

It really is a nice lens and these are great samples from it!

I'm actually selling mine in the marketplace right now. Now that I have the DA* 50-135mm, I won't have much use for it. I'm going to miss it's compact size... it's so well balanced on the K10D.... just a bit heavier than the kit lens.

I'm definitely going to add that to my kit soon.

Two very nice images from the 50-200. Hope that you don't mind craftsmansky but I could not resist to do a quick make over on your second image.

Take care, Heinrich

I agree with the previous comments, for an economic lens, the 50-200 is well worth its price.
Small and light, its a great walk about lens and the results are there for all to seew.
I have stuck by this lens for quite some time.

Nice edit ... it really makes this image even better.

Two very nice shots. I also like the extra editing, I learned a something from looking at the shot before and after editing. This is a great forum.
