The Sea Eagles & Harbour Seals
Lens: DA 55-300mm f/4-5.8 Camera: Pentax K20d Photo Location: Andøy,Norway ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/25s Aperture: F9.5

Hi again.

Driving home from another attempt at whalewatching yesterday, I had to stop the car and sneak upon these lovely birds I saw 3-400metres from the road, down at the beach.
Sea eagles!

Managed quite properly to get pretty close, and discovered after taking a few shots that there was something else in the pics as well
Large seals just chilling on the rocks. I was shivering of excitement!

Tried to shoot at as slow shutter speed as possible without having motion blur from the birds with the camera & lens on tripod, to have as small aperture as possible without having to exceed approx.ISO 400.
This for details, since it still was quite a long distance for my only AF tele-lens.

Shot taken with Pentax DA 55-300mm attached to my Pentax K20D.

Taken in Andøy,Norway.

Sounds like a fun place to photograph, those eagles are just asking for a longer lens to be pointed at them!!

Hehe, yeah this was the nearest I got with my little 55-300 :/
I've got two different TCs but the image quality ain't all that with neither the Vivitar 2x tele/macro nor the Soligor 2x tele (which is so old it doesn't have electronical connections with the camera).
+ fringing & ghosting when shooting with these.

So I can't wait for the DA550

Thanks for commenting, guys.
