Big bucks are not moving around too much now so I thought I would post a couple of shots of fawns from earlier in the season. All shot with K10D and SMC A* 300mm f4.0

I'm glad

I'm not the only one having a hard time tracking down the bucks.

Great light in #3 as everyone else has mentioned.

It's good to see some green grass in your photos, though. It already seems like its been a long winter here. Another foot of snow fell last night...

Bucks eh?

I found a few bucks lately... Too bad I don't have anything longer than 200mm. They were really eyeing me down at one point, they don't really care about humans at all, they just stare back.

Oh, BUCKS! My bad.

Matt (Yikes I really messed that up the first time)

Matt, What bucks? Those are nice bull elk! They always know to show up when you do not have a long lens. They're taunting you.

I have to ask Matt since you are from Boudler... Was the Elk pic taken in Estes Park.. I used to live there.. and really miss the scenery....

Kim, Estes Park it is! Fun day; we ran up to look for elk, saw some elk. Now I want a longer lens.
