Camera: Pentax K-x
Posted By: Kym, 02-02-2012, 05:58 PM

Hey guys,
I recently (kind of impulse) bought a K-x, having only ever had one point and shoot before. Having a great time, I love playing around with everything - pretty much read the manual from cover to cover so I didn't end up breaking anything! Any tips/pointers would be appreciated - at the mo I only have a simple understanding of the basics, but will hopefully get there.

Oh, and I am not the most computer literate person around, so hope I have uploaded these correctly - apologies if not. One of my favourite places, bonus points to anyone who knows where it is!

To me it looks like a very mini version of The Sydney Harbour bridgeSo I guess there's no chance for those bonus points I would assume

Looks like the Tyne bridge in Newcastle on Tyne, UK.

I think it has been described as looking like a miniature Sydney Harbour Bridge.

In pic #3 are those posts and rails hanging off the side of the structure you were standing on?

Very cool shots , enjoy the K-x - I would recommend Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson as a great read to start out with ...last one has an HDR look and feel

Yep it's the Tyne - I think the design of Sydney Harbour Bridge was based on the Tyne Bridge - but scaled up a bit. Tex351, the posts are part of the Millenium Bridge, which is also pretty cool. Will have a look at Understanding Exposure - heard it recommended before, so it must be handy!
