Jade Flower: Photo by Photographer David Brooks - photo.net

A 20 year old Jade plant, that was started from on single leaf, has finally flowered, see above.

K10D, fa 100f2.8, hand held SR on.a minor tweak in LR.

Happy New year to you all. This was an amazing event to happen on New years eve.

You had to wait 20 years for a plan to flower? Wow, that is a testament to your patience, congratulations.

Does this mean the plant is about to die? I understand some do that. There's a plant in Hawaii that lives like 40 or 50 years, magnificently flowers, and dies. Just wondering...

edit: glad you were at home and not on vacation for the event!

Well, we did do other things while we waited.LOL

I was not even aware these things flowered, but i'm glad we had a peek on the other side of the plant.

I'm semi retired trying to live on equine event photography. No vacations for a while.
